Nick kicked off our meeting with a practical and timely lesson on time blocking—a skill every professional can benefit from, but especially crucial in fast-paced industries like roofing during storm season. His insights reminded us that productivity isn’t about doing more, but about focusing on what matters most.

Nick gave us an excellent reminder about the importance of time blocking. His key points included:

  • Create a schedule and stick to it
  • Protect your top priorities
  • Don’t let texts or emails steal your focus
  • Ask yourself: What does your Monday look like? What’s the #1 priority?
  • Multi-tasking can be counterproductive—focus matters
  • For roofers during storm season, time blocking is absolutely critical
  • Routines keep you anchored, even when things get busy

It was a great way to start the morning and gave everyone tools to think about how they manage their week.

Renee brought clarity to a complicated but important topic: the future of health and Medicare insurance. With so many moving parts, her ability to break down what’s changing and how it impacts families was both eye-opening and helpful.

Renee shared what’s happening in the ever-changing world of insurance. Highlights included:

  • The industry is taking a hit, with big changes coming in Medicare
  • The “donut hole” is closing, and now after $2,000 in meds the government steps in—creating ripple effects
  • By 2026, co-pays and out-of-pocket maximums are going up (Florida’s will be $7,200 vs. $9,000 in some states)
  • Hospitalization costs are rising, and some plans are leaving Florida altogether
  • Insurance companies are moving to percentage-based co-pays rather than flat rates
  • Medicaid access is crucial for low-income individuals
  • Silver Sneakers and other plan perks are starting to disappear

Her talk sparked great conversation and gave us a clearer picture of what to expect in the years ahead.

Sandy wrapped up the meeting with a blend of personal warmth and professional wisdom. With 35 years in the banking industry, she shared not only her experience but also her passion for helping people find the best financial solutions, no matter where they bank.

Sandy began by sharing some good personal news about her family before diving into her 35 years of experience in banking. Her insights included:

  • Over the years she’s seen how automation, online banking, and tech have changed the industry
  • She always works to find the best loan for her clients—even if it isn’t with her bank
  • “It’s not the sign, it’s the people in the bank”
  • The biggest challenge today is fraud
  • AI can now clone voices and spoof phone numbers
  • Criminals create panic to trick people into acting fast
  • Never share your 4-digit codes
  • Never wire money without triple checking
  • AI scams are only getting more convincing
